Join us for the 2026 SECA Leadership Retreat!
Where: Dakota Dunes Resort, Whitecap, Sk
When: November 26th-27th
This retreat is an opportunity for Saskatchewan's Early Learning & Child Care Leaders to step away from the day to day, connect with colleagues from across the province, and invest in themselves as leaders.
We have thoughtfully chosen keynote speakers who will provide meaningful insights, practical tools, and fresh perspectives to help you grow and thrive as a leader.
The retreat will also include opportunities to relax, recharge, build connections, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Dakota Dunes Resort.
Below, you'll find an overview of our keynote speakers, along with a look at what you can expect from each session.
Thursday November 26th
8:30am - Registration
9:00am - Darci Lang - Lead the 90%
Based on her best-selling book, Lead the 90% is a deep-dive, introspective look at how we show up in our leadership roles. Drawing from 32 years of leadership experience and working with thousands of leaders across industries, this session will explore how we can lead with greater confidence, intention, and kindness.
Participants will explore four key areas: caring for the person in the mirror, showing up intentionally in your leadership role, leading your team with strength and kindness, and creating a healthy transition between work and personal life.
Through reflection, real-life experiences, and practical tools, you’ll be challenged to recognize your strengths, navigate the “10%” that can hold you back, and focus on the 90% that makes you the leader you are.
12:00-1:00 - Lunch
1:00pm-4:00pm - Stacey Olson
Stacey Olson is the author of Your Balanced and Bold Life: Work Less, Live More, and Be Your Best, a keynote speaker and leadership coach, and the founder of The Balanced Leader™. She helps others create more balance in life, experience less stress and burnout, and have more time and presence for what really matters. She has also experienced her own transformation from overworking and burning out to finding a more enjoyable way to work and live.
End of Day 1
Friday November 27th
9:00am-10:00am - Arrive, network, check out vendors
10:00am-11:00am - Intentions Yoga
Intentions Yoga will join us for an engaging presentation focused on practical strategies you can use when feelings of stress or overwhelm arise during the workday. This is not a yoga session - instead, you’ll learn simple, accessible techniques to help calm your nervous system, reset your focus, and regain a sense of balance in the moment.
Participants will leave with practical tools they can use during a busy or challenging day to pause, reset, and return to their work feeling more grounded and ready to continue.
11:00am-12:30pm - Networking Lunch
12:30pm-3:30pm - Darren Lang
Seems everyone has their fair share of stress these days and could use a few tools to manage.
Over the years, Darren Lang as inspired thousands to take control of their stress…and have some fun while doing it.
